Jumping Together: How Milling Technologies Support Our Veterans in the Air and Beyond

At Milling Technologies, supporting veterans isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we do. And for me, it’s deeply personal.

Back in 2017, I began jumping with the Phantom Airborne Brigade, a nonprofit veteran group dedicated to preserving the camaraderie, purpose, and adrenaline of airborne service. A few years later, a fellow veteran and I took things to the next level. We acquired the Phantom name and equipment, and relaunched the organization as a nonprofit that conducts both land and water parachute jumps. Our mission: to provide accessible, meaningful experiences for all of our military trained service members and veterans.  We take pride in helping disabled veterans get their “knees in the breeze again”

It’s not just about the jump. It’s about being part of a team again, about facing challenges together, and about feeling the wind on your face as you defy gravity and expectation alike.

And the support didn’t stop with the Brigade. Few days each year at Milling Technologies, we shut down shop—not for a holiday, but to hang the parachutes to dry from the water jumps.  It is an all-hands-on-deck kind of day. With 200 main parachutes and 200 reserves to dry.  We also supply semi trailers and drivers to transport parachutes to and from the jumps. Our team members, many of whom are veterans themselves or come from military families, were more than willing to lend their hands—and hearts.

That’s what makes us proud. Not just the work we do every day in hydraulic repair, but the work we do as a team and a community—lifting each other up, literally and figuratively.

We believe that the skills and spirit of veterans don’t fade when the uniform comes off. And whether we’re fine-tuning technology or hanging parachutes, we're always ready to support those who’ve served and the ones still serving.

To our veterans: we see you, we honor you, and we're jumping with you—every step of the way.
